South Dakota Game Fish and Parks


SECOG assists its members in applying for funding from South Dakota Department of Game, Fish & Parks (GF&P). Further details on GF&P funding is listed below:

Photo of a wooded forest. Recreational Trails Grant Program (RTP) flyer. Funds can be used for public motorized and non-motorized trail projects. Grant awards generally are $40,000 to $200,000. 80% Federal grant dollars, 20% local project sponsor, up to the approved grant amount. Grant payment comes as a reimbursement. Applications are due in April. Photo includes SECOG logo, SD Game Fish & Parks logo, and Federal Highway Administration logo.  Photo of a baseball diamond. Land Water Conservation Fund (LWCF) flyer. Funds can be used for public outdoor recreation projects where the entire park property is dedicated to public outdoor recreation. Minimum grant is $10,000. 50% grant dollars and 50% local project sponsor up to approved grant amount. Grant payment comes as reimbursement. Applications due in April.
